Majestic Mountains & Lakes
Overview
Hunza Valley is where Pakistan's northern ranges feel most cinematic — a landscape of terraced apricot orchards, snowcapped peaks, and turquoise glacial lakes framed by thousand-year-old forts. This six-day journey balances just enough movement with long, unhurried moments: a sunrise from Eagle's Nest at 3,100m, a lazy afternoon drifting across Attabad Lake, and evenings with Rakaposhi in full view and warm local hospitality at the table. We handle every detail — transfers, permits, bookings — so you can simply arrive and be completely present in one of the most beautiful valleys on earth.

Day by Day
Day 1
Arrival in Gilgit + Transfer to Hunza
After your private pickup at Gilgit Airport or city, you'll take the legendary Karakoram Highway northward — a drive that shifts gradually from canyon walls to apricot orchards to the wide-open valley floor. Arrive in Karimabad by early afternoon, settle into your mountain-view room, and take in the first full sight of Rakaposhi (7,788m) before a welcome dinner with your guide and a briefing on the days ahead.
Day 2
Karimabad & the Forts
A morning visit to Baltit Fort — one of the oldest continuously occupied fortresses in Asia, dating back over 700 years — with sweeping views over the entire valley floor and the glaciers above. In the afternoon, walk down to Altit Fort and its ancient orchards along the river. End the day with an evening stroll through the local bazaar, picking up dry fruits, gems, and handmade crafts before sunset tea on your balcony.
Day 3
Attabad Lake + Passu
Drive to the vivid turquoise waters of Attabad Lake — formed by a 2010 landslide that submerged entire villages, now transformed into one of the most photogenic spots in Pakistan. A 45-minute boat cruise across it, with reflections of bare mountains in the still water. Continue to Passu for the famous Hussaini suspension bridge — dramatic, swaying, and utterly photogenic — and the cathedral spires of the Passu Cones rising behind it.
Day 4
Leisure Day
Your day, your pace. Options include an afternoon hike up to Duikar viewpoint with one of the most famous sunset panoramas in Hunza, a leisurely riverside picnic in the lower valley, or a slow morning on your balcony watching clouds move across the peaks. Your guide will have suggestions based on the day's weather and your energy.
Day 5
Eagle's Nest Sunrise + Culture
A 5am start for the Eagle's Nest sunrise — one of the most photographed moments in all of Northern Pakistan, with golden light spreading across Rakaposhi, Ultar Sar, and the valley 1,000 metres below. Breakfast back at the lodge, then the rest of the morning is yours for final shopping, a visit to local artisans, or a curated cultural experience arranged by your guide.
Day 6
Departure
Private transfer back to Gilgit along the KKH, with the option to stop at scenic points you might have missed on the way in. Assistance with luggage and your onward journey, whether you're flying back or continuing your travels through Pakistan.
